How we operate
Our Mission
To continually develop Richmond Ravers Netball Club as a community club through the provision of comprehensive and skill-developing training programs;
To build on talent, foster teamwork and encourage the pursuit of improvement;
To ask that our coaches and players are fully committed and ensure that the principles of Netball (participation, fitness, competition, teamwork and sportsmanship) are always maintained.
Selection for Matches
Players are selected for matches based on Ability, Compatibility, Commitment and Attendance at training.
Selection is made in the weeks before the match dates and confirmation will be made by Teamo.
Parents are requested to respond promptly to requests made on Teamo regarding match selection. Parents are reminded to update any changes to their contact details on Teamo.
For those players selected there will be an additional match fee of £7 which will be collected via Teamo.
Absences
To avoid administrative issues and assist lesson planning if you are not available for training you must update your availability on Teamo. It is imperative that marking your attendance status on Teamo is well maintained, organisation on this front is key to delivering high quality session and for planning matches. Please do not make us chase you as this will impact your athletes chances of selection.
Commitment levels at training are extremely important and lack of attendance may influence a player’s selection into teams and tournaments and interfere with skills progression.
Fees
Fees for whole term are payable in advance and you will be notified of the payment deadlines. If the deadline cannot be met please contact Ravers leadership to request alternative arrangements.
Training Kit
Sportswear should be comfortable and suitable for the weather conditions. Although Club kit is optional we ask that players respect the club’s identity by wearing dark sportswear to training if the Richmond Ravers kit cannot be worn for any reason. It is requested that you do not send your daughter in her school kit to remove this barrier between players.
Club kit must be worn for matches (Ravers hoodie with Dress and under shorts) and it is the player’s responsibility to ensure they have kit when representing Richmond Ravers. All club kit can be purchased from the kit shop (password: RRNC).
To participate in club training sessions and matches long hair must be tied back and nails cut short. No jewelry is permitted and sports trainers must be worn.
Wet Weather
We may be challenged by weather conditions during the season and we will address this at the time.
Please assume training will go ahead even in wet conditions whenever the courts remain safe to do so.
Any decision to cancel will be made giving as much notice as possible to avoid unnecessary travel.
Notification of cancellation will be made by Teamo.
We ask for your understanding and patience during bad weather announcements.
Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy
Lewis Keeling is the Child Protection Officer for Richmond Ravers N.C.
In addition, many of our coaches have attended Child Safeguarding courses.
Other
Once you become a member of Richmond Ravers Netball Club you are agreeing to our ‘single club’ policy. This means that during term time, you should only be taking part in Richmond Ravers club netball activity not that of other clubs in the area . The exception to this rule is for members who are progressing through the England Netball/Pulse/Mavericks pathway groups, who we support and encourage in their endeavors. This policy is shared with other England Netball affiliated clubs within Surrey.
Richmond Ravers can (at its discretion) decide not to continue to provide coaching to individual players.
